A fantastic woman

This week in my free post, I want to write about a great woman that for me is a example: Frida Kahlo. I grew up with her history very close to me, because my grandmother lives in Mexico many years ago, so when I was a child I traveled a lot to see her. So, little by little I got to know the mexican culture. I remember that on one of those trips with my grandmother we went to the Frida’s house in Coyoacán. Until that moment I didn’t know about her, I only knew that she was a great woman and painter, who had an accident when she was a girl and that changes her life.

In this house I find out the Frida’s essence, it’s amazing as in spite of time her essence remain in there, to the point of feeling that one is knowing in person. Strong woman, brave, passionate, communist, empowered, brilliant, sensitive, are some of the characteristics of this painter that bursts in political and artistic scene of his time by making the pain in a work of art, a flag of struggle. What I admire most about her it’s that, her ability to transform the pain in something beautiful, something that heals, without neglecting the pain. The life seems to be that, a constant struggle where the pain and happiness are complementary elements that create wonderful things.

For me, Frida is one of the exceptional women, for being so natural, so human. with her contradictions and victorys. Sometimes one look an idol from the idealization, thinking in the human perfection, but I think that people who have achieved to mark the history, it has been just the one not be perfect, like Frida.
